Cruise Destinations - Alaska Cruises

If you want to view some glaciers, wildlife, fascinating entertainment and palatable foods, then cruising to Alaska is a great option.  Alaska cruises usually feature the visit of Prince William Sound, the Bering Sea and the Golf of Alaska.  You will have also the opportunity to interact with alaska wildlife like bald eagles, whales and bears are settling.

  • Juneau: While you are in this place, visit the Alaska State Museum, the House of Wickersham, the Juneau Douglas City Museum, and the Last Chance Mining Museum.  Additionally, hop into the Governor’s Mansion, Alaska Capitol, and then to the Evergreen Cemetery. 

  • Haines: Discover the Chilkat Bald Eagle species, the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center, the Fort William Henry Seward; and see the Chilkat Indian Dances and then the Southeast Alaska State Fair. 

  • Ketchikan: A departure port that features interesting views like the Totem Bight State Historical Park, Duncan Cottage Museum particularly at the Metlakatla Island, Saxman Village, Creek Street, salmon hatcher, the Tongass Historical Museum and then the Totem Heritage Center. 

  • Petersburg: Experience the hiking, fishing, sea kayaking and the Little Norway Festival.  And see some interesting spots like of the Clausen Memorial Museum, Viking Boat, Eagle’s Roost Park, LeConte Glacier, and the Historic District which is in the Hammer Slough.
     
  • Sitka: Visit the Sitka National Historical Park, the Sheldon Jackson Museum and then the Isabel Miller Museum.

  • Skagway: Activities like fishing, hiking and flight seeing is featured here in Skagway.  You must also not to forget visiting the Skagway museums; such as the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, the Trail of ’98 City Museum and then the Old City Hall Museum.

  • Wrangell: Enjoy the Garnet Festival.  Watching some of their wildlife is an ideal thing to remember here exactly at Wrangell.

  • Seward: Cisit the Mount Marathon Race in addition to the halibut fishing derbies.  

  • Whittier: Experience the famous Whittier kayaking and fishing and discovers the wildlife living here and among other correlated things to see. 

  • Valdez: Enjoy the salmon spawning and sees the Valdez Museum and Historical Archive. 

  • Homer: Do not miss to explore the fascinating and renowned Homer Spit and then the Pratt Museum as well.

  • Anchorage: There are many interesting areas such as the Alaska’s Public Lands Information Center, Glen Alps and Flattop Mountains, Port of Anchorage and the Earthquake Parks should never be miss in this magnificent part of Alaska.

  • Kodiak: In Kodiak enjoy the kayaking, fishing, crab festival which is during the months of May, bear watching and among others.
